Lot 139: A Set of Sèvres Style Cobalt Blue and Gilt Porcelain Dessert Plates
A set of porcelain dessert plates in the Sèvres style, featuring a wide cobalt blue rim with scalloped and gilded edges. The border is decorated with gilt foliate scrollwork and cartouches containing multi-colored floral sprays. A secondary white band with additional floral bouquets separates the cobalt border from the plain white center. The design is characteristic of the Comte d’Aranda service. The top plate bears an orange lot sticker numbered 139 and a small white tag numbered 6.
