A Collection of Hourglass Glazed Ceramic Mosaic Tiles and a Transfer-Printed Tile
An assortment of architectural and decorative ceramic tiles. The lot features a group of small, hourglass-shaped glazed mosaic tiles, a form sometimes referred to as Damru, in various colors including yellow, green, gray, pink, and white. Several tiles exhibit a mottled or speckled finish. These tiles are housed in a white cardboard box. Accompanying the mosaic tiles is a single square ceramic tile with a dark brown or black transfer-printed geometric and foliate pattern on a white ground, characteristic of the Victorian Aesthetic Movement. The patterned tile is marked with numerical stickers 15 15 and an orange label marked 13.
