A trio of decorative ceramic plates comprising a Japanese Arita Imari scalloped plate and a pair of nested blue and white transferware plates. The Japanese porcelain plate, dating to the Meiji period, features a scalloped rim and is decorated in a traditional palette of underglaze blue, iron red, and green enamels, with panels of bamboo and floral motifs encircling a central circular reserve containing a stylized bird and bamboo. The larger blue and white transferware plate features a wide border decorated with the names and heraldic crests of various British Empire territories, including Australia, Canada, India, and Jamaica, surrounding a central maritime scene with sailing vessels. The smaller nested transferware plate displays a pastoral landscape within a floral border. All items are fitted with metal wire plate hangers.
