A modern reflector telescope featuring a large, silver-grey metallic main optical tube mounted on a matching adjustable tripod with black plastic fittings. A smaller finder scope, also silver and black, is attached near the eyepiece end, bearing a partially visible orange sticker with the number “556.” A prominent warning label on the main tube reads: “CAUTION: UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHOULD OBSERVERS LOOK DIRECTLY AT THE SUN THROUGH THIS TELESCOPE. DOING SO WILL CAUSE PERMANENT AND IRREPARABLE DAMAGE TO YOUR EYES.” The instrument is a contemporary consumer-grade model.
