A Pair of Framed Equestrian Artworks
A pair of framed artworks featuring equestrian subjects. The upper artwork is a monochrome drawing or print, depicting a head-and-shoulders portrait of a jockey in a helmet. A cursive signature, possibly “John E. Blayton,” is visible on the left side of the artwork. It is presented in a black frame with a narrow light-colored mat. Stickers marked “2 2” and “261” are affixed to the frame. The lower artwork is a color print or illustration, featuring a brown horse with white stockings and a jockey. Visible text on this print includes “Norse Way Dec 1962,” “Sir Ivor 1968,” and “…Howard 1977.” This piece is encased in a simple light-toned wooden frame.
