DECEMBER SALE
Lot 86:
A pair of Capodimonte porcelain figurines, hand-painted. The left figure depicts a seated Rococo-style lady with a powdered wig, wearing an elaborate white dress featuring extensive applied ceramic lace. She leans against a tree trunk adorned with delicate pink and green floral elements, all resting on an oval base with molded foliage. The right figurine portrays a young boy, possibly a chef or baker, wearing a chef’s hat and apron. He holds a round tray with a pizza-like item in his raised left hand and two smaller decorative plates in his lowered right hand. He stands barefoot on an ornate, possibly gilded, naturalistic base, which is mounted on a rectangular black marble plinth. A white sticker with the number “12” is affixed to the marble base of the boy figurine.
