A German Rococo Revival Style Porcelain Mantel Clock and an Edinburgh Crystal Desk Clock
A group comprising two clocks. The first is a German Rococo Revival style porcelain mantel clock, featuring a scalloped, architectural form rendered in white and deep teal or green. It is richly embellished with extensive gold gilt scrolling and painted floral garlands depicting roses and violets. A central classical-style figural vignette adorns the lower portion of the case. The embedded metal clock face, featuring Arabic numerals, is marked “Germany” below the 6. The second item is a clear faceted crystal desk clock, presented within a purple satin-lined presentation box. This smaller clock features a white face with Roman numerals, a silver-toned bezel, and is clearly marked “EDINBURGH CRYSTAL” and “QUARTZ”.
