A Group of Four Pouring Vessels, including a James Dixon & Sons Sheffield Plate Coffee Pot
A group of four pouring vessels. The primary item is a tall, fluted, silver-toned metal coffee or hot water pot, attributed to James Dixon & Sons Sheffield Plate. It features a scalloped domed lid with an ornate finial, a curved handle, and a long, slender spout. Also included is a round, porcelain or ceramic teapot decorated with an underglaze blue and white floral and foliate pattern, accented with gilt details on the rim and handle, and fitted with a matching domed lid. A plain white glazed ceramic piece, potentially a creamer or sauceboat, with a pouring spout and handle, is present. The final item is a small, lidless, round ceramic pouring vessel decorated in a blue and white stylized landscape or foliate pattern, notable for having two short spouts. The porcelain teapot and the plain white creamer both bear a “13 13” sticker.
