An antique ring featuring a large, oval-shaped cabochon natural opal gemstone exhibiting iridescent play-of-color, set in a bezel-style mounting of yellowish-toned metal, consistent with gold. The ring is presented in an antique-style, rectangular, fabric-covered presentation box with a hinged lid. The interior of the box lid is lined with cream-colored satin and red velvet, and is marked with the English text: “H.A. Majowicz / Watchmaker & Jeweller / Wellington Street, / Millom, Cumb.” A white paper label with the number “12” handwritten in black is affixed to the exterior of the box lid. Weight 5g
