Lot 496: Vintage Hanging Metal Bird Cage
A vintage hanging birdcage, likely constructed from painted wire and sheet metal. The domed top and main structure are crafted from olive-green colored metal wire, featuring decorative looped elements. This transitions to an octagonal or faceted sheet metal base, which is punched or embossed with a repeating quatrefoil pattern. The cage is surmounted by a turned dark wood finial, from which it hangs by a metal ring and chain. An orange sticker with the number “496” is affixed to one of the base panels.
