A Collection of Approximately 25 Vintage Glass Ink Bottles, various brands and colors
A collection comprising approximately 25 vintage glass ink bottles of varying shapes and sizes. Brands represented include Waterman’s, Stephens, Parker, and Field’s. Visible product names include “Calligraph Ink,” “Fountain Pen Ink,” “Quink,” and “Rainbow Range Coloured Inks.” The bottles originally contained various ink colors, such as black, blue-black, blue, and purple (from bottle tint). A “Rainbow Range” label lists additional colors: Brown, Magenta, Green, Scarlet, Orange, Yellow, Olive Green, Turquoise, and Violet. Capacities noted on the bottles include “TWO OUNCES,” “10 OZ” (embossed on a purple bottle), and “1137 C.C.” One label reads “ENCRE Waterman Noire,” indicating Waterman Black Ink with a French label. The bottles are sealed with a mix of plastic, metal, and cork stoppers, many of which are embossed with brand names such as “Stephens,” “Waterman,” and “Parker.”
