A Group of 'Soul Journeys Maasai' Figurative Sculptures
A group of four ‘Soul Journeys Maasai’ figurative sculptures, likely cast in bronze or a bronze-patinated metal alloy, depicting figures in an ethnographic or ethnic-inspired style. The group includes a tall standing female figure holding a small animal or child, a seated female figure with two children, a seated figure embracing an animal (possibly a calf), and a kneeling figure with bowed head. All figures feature intricate beaded adornments on the head and neck, and exhibit a combination of natural bronze tones, dark grey, and dark purple/maroon patinas on their garments. A white sticker bearing the number “19” is affixed to the base of the kneeling figure.
