A Vintage Meccano Construction Set in Wooden Box
A Vintage Meccano Construction Set, primarily contained within a hinged, compartmentalized wooden box painted a weathered light blue/grey on the exterior, secured by a simple metal clasp. The interior of the box reveals a collection of numerous metal components, including perforated plates (some red, green, or unpainted), brass-toned gears, various wheels (red, black, brass), axles, screws, nuts, and a small tool with a red handle, along with some string. A separate clear plastic bin holds additional, larger construction elements, again mostly metal, some painted red or black, alongside a small red and yellow plastic toy vehicle. The style of parts suggests a mid-20th century origin. A small white sticker displaying the number “7” is visible on the box exterior.
