Thai Elephant Bell on Wooden Stand, 19th-Early 20th Century
A Thai elephant bell on a wooden stand, dating to the 19th-Early 20th Century. The dark metal bell features a raised relief depiction of an adult elephant with a smaller elephant calf on its side, indicative of Southeast Asian stylistic influence. The rustic, dark-stained wooden frame consists of a rectangular base, two arched side supports, and a horizontal crossbar from which the bell hangs via a wooden peg and a fibrous strap. A white adhesive label displaying the number “7” is present on the front left side of the wooden base.
