DECEMBER SALE
Lot 13:
A group of four bronze-finished sculptures, likely cast in bronze or a bronze-patinated resin, depicting figures of indeterminate African origin. The figures vary in height and pose, presented in an ethnographic style with traditional-looking attire and hairstyles. The tallest figure features intricate beaded adornments around the neck, forearms, and head. Another prominent figure carries a bundle of logs on her shoulder and wears large hoop earrings. The two smaller figures are draped in garments and wear simple necklaces, with the smallest kneeling figure holding a shallow bowl. Visible white tags displaying numbers “13” and “19” are present on two of the taller figures, likely indicating lot or price numbers.
