A Hall USA Pottery 'Sky Blue' Pitcher and a Collection of Ceramic Advertising Jugs and Pitchers
Comprising a Vintage Hall USA Pottery MCM Ice Lipped Ceramic Round Ball Pitcher, model #633, in sky blue glaze. Also included are approximately eight additional ceramic advertising jugs or pitchers, primarily in white/cream, blue, green, and red glazes. These include examples branded ‘A. PALMER Mineral Water Manufactory’ with an industrial scene, ‘GEORGE POPE’ alongside architectural imagery, ‘QUEEN ANNE Rare Scotch Whisky’ featuring a crest, ‘COS’ PALE ALE, BREWED ONLY BY BASS RATCLIFF & GRETTON LIMITED,’ a green jug marked ‘GREENALLS,’ and a red jug displaying the Royal Coat of Arms of the United Kingdom with ‘BY APPOINTMENT TO HER MAJESTY THE QUEEN.’ These English markings strongly suggest the items are 20th-century breweriana or distillery promotional wares.
