A Mid-20th Century Chinese Carved Giltwood Wall Mirror
A mid-20th century Chinese carved giltwood wall mirror. The rectangular mirror plate is set within an ornate, shaped frame, executed in carved wood with a bronzed or gilded finish. The curvilinear side panels feature intricate relief carvings depicting figures in traditional attire amidst a landscape with stylized trees. The top of the frame is adorned with geometric fretwork, and decorative floral bands line the inner perimeter. The mirror is fitted with two decorative, geometrically patterned metal hangers. Inventory markings include two white stickers displaying ‘7 7’ on the reflected mirror surface and an orange sticker marked ‘331’ on the lower right frame.
