OCTOBER SALE
Lot 272:
A pair of contemporary glass bottles of French sparkling wine. The first is a 75cl Moët & Chandon “Première Cuvée” Champagne from Épernay, France, from a house founded in 1743. It is presented in dark green glass with a gold foil capsule featuring embossed stars and a red seal marked “BY APPOINTMENT TO HER MAJESTY QUEEN ELIZABETH II”. The second bottle is an “Extra Quality Brut” from de Neuville, Saumur, France, an “Appellation Saumur Controlée” established in 1856. This bottle is also in dark green glass with a silver-gold foil capsule and labels stating “Un Terroir, Une Tradition”. Both bottles appear to be full with intact capsules, displaying largely legible paper labels showing minor creasing, and each carries an orange retail sticker bearing the number “272”.
