Royal Doulton 'The Mayor' HN2280 Figurine
A Royal Doulton glazed ceramic figurine, ‘The Mayor’, model number HN2280. The male figure is depicted as a civic official or judge, dressed in formal historical attire. He wears a black tricorn hat with a white feathered plume, a red robe trimmed with white fur-like material, a white ruffled jabot, and a gold-colored chain of office featuring a central medallion. His hands are clasped at the front, holding an indistinct object, possibly a scroll or small book. The style is decorative and character-based, indicative of a 20th-century period. An orange sticker with the number ‘268’ is affixed to the front of the robe.
