OCTOBER SALE
Lot 221:
A collection of vintage postcards and ephemera, predominantly consisting of postcards and greeting cards, alongside at least one larger format periodical or booklet. The collection is housed across two cardboard boxes, with items generally stacked upright. Visible examples include sepia-toned and black-and-white topographical photographic postcards, such as one identified as “Rydal Water and Nab Scar” from “Alderman’s Series No. 278, Ambleside,” as well as illustrative early color prints and sentimental greeting cards marked with phrases like “I’m lonely without you” and “I’m thinking of you.” A partially visible periodical at the top references “Britain’s Champion Woman Cyclist” and “Hercules,” suggesting a mid-20th century period (circa 1940s-1960s) for some contents. The material is primarily paper and cardstock.
