Lot 217:
A diverse collection of philatelic material, primarily consisting of British postage stamps and First Day Covers (FDCs), housed within a blue plastic crate. The collection includes a prominent FDC commemorating the “HMS CHURCHILL FIRST COMMISSION” of a “NUCLEAR FLEET SUBMARINE,” postmarked “BARROW-IN-FURNESS 15 JUL 1970” and bearing a 4p stamp. Another visible FDC is themed “THOMAS THE TANK ENGINE,” identified as a “Royal Mail First Day Cover.” Loose stamps are also present, among them a “60” pence stamp featuring “DANNY BLANCHFLOWER 1926-1993” from a “FOOTBALL LEAGUE LEGENDS” series. The items are housed mostly as loose pieces or within clear plastic bags.
