OCTOBER SALE
Lot 180:
A collection of three Mid-Century Modern Murano art glass vessels, attributed to Flavio Poli. The tallest piece is a slender vase, featuring a subtly flared rim and internal swirling patterns of purple, red, and amber glass. Adjacent to it is an asymmetrical pitcher or ewer, distinguished by a spouted rim and a unique open handle design, with vibrant amber, orange, and deep purple swirl patterns. The third piece, positioned in the foreground, is a more compact, bulbous vase displaying complementary swirling glass in reddish-orange and translucent tones. All pieces exhibit a hand-blown aesthetic typical of studio art glass. Visible markings include orange rectangular stickers displaying ‘180’ on the pitcher and the front vase, and white rectangular stickers marked ’69’ (potentially ’96’ or ’99’ if inverted) on the tall vase and the front vase.
