OCTOBER SALE
Lot 177:
A group of three hand-knotted Caucasian wool rugs, likely of Middle Eastern or Central Asian origin, featuring traditional geometric and stylized patterns. The group comprises two distinct, small rugs and a third partially visible woven item. The upper rug features a deep navy blue ground with intricate beige, light blue, and brown geometric motifs, bordered by a repeating pattern and finished with white fringed edges, marked with an orange tag displaying ‘L77’. The lower, reddish-brown rug exhibits a central stylized medallion and overall geometric pattern in shades of red, black, and cream on a lighter ground, also terminating in white fringes, with a white tag bearing the numeral ‘6’. A third, smaller, brown geometric woven item is partially visible beneath the middle rug, also with a partially visible orange ‘L77’ tag.
