OCTOBER SALE
Lot 17:
A George III copper kettle, likely a hot water or spirit kettle, crafted from traditional copper. It features a hinged brass swing handle with ornate, stylized terminals and a brass finial adorning its domed lid. The kettle is fitted with a gracefully curved swan-neck spout. It rests on a separate, four-legged brass stand, which incorporates decorative openwork supporting the kettle’s base and is finished with cabriole-style feet. A white sticker with the number ‘1’ is visible on the lower portion of the stand, and a smaller, faded sticker also marked ‘1’ appears on the top curve of the handle, both likely identifying an auction lot number.
