OCTOBER SALE
Lot 156:
A pair of lidded miniature urns or covered vases, crafted from porcelain or ceramic, consistent with a late 19th to early 20th-century European decorative style. Each urn features a pale yellow ground extensively adorned with gold gilding in floral and geometric patterns, scrolled handles, and a domed lid topped with a gilded finial. The main bodies display detailed, multi-colored figural scenes within decorative cartouches. The bases and lids incorporate smaller roundel inserts, depicting floral motifs on one base and a dark blue ground on the other, alongside portrait busts and other decorations. Visible numerical markings include “11” on white tags attached to each base and an orange tag reading “156” on the right urn. No apparent manufacturer’s marks are present.
