Lot 69: A Pair of Mdina Random Strapped Glass Vessels
A pair of hand-blown studio glass vessels produced by Mdina Glass, Malta. The set comprises a cylindrical decanter with its original bulbous stopper and a coordinating flared-rim vase. Both items are executed in the random strapped pattern, featuring a vibrant mottled red and amber glass body encased in a textured web of applied dark blue trailing. The decanter displays a waisted neck and a polished rim. The coordinating vase features a tapered cylindrical body with a wide flared aperture. A small orange price sticker and a secondary white label are present on the stopper. No engraved signatures are visible.
Condition report:
Both pieces appear to be in excellent condition. There are no visible chips, cracks, or repairs to the glass bodies, rims, or applied decoration. Minor surface dirt and adhesive residue from the labels are present.
