Lot 68: An Assortment of Decorative Ceramics and Vintage Household Items
This collection comprises various decorative and functional ceramics alongside miscellaneous household objects. Included is a porcelain jug decorated in the Imari palette with underglaze cobalt blue and overglaze iron-red floral motifs, featuring a heavily gilded spout and handle. There are several fine porcelain teacups and matching saucers decorated with pink rose garlands and gilt lattice-work borders on scalloped rims. The lot further contains multiple white porcelain reticulated plates with pierced borders, a small glazed earthenware jug with hand-painted floral decoration, and a group of nesting vessels including a terracotta-coloured planter. Additional items include a stack of white side plates with gilded rims and a vintage-style thermos flask with a cream body and metal lid. No maker marks were clearly legible on the pieces.
Condition report:
The items generally appear in good, used condition. There is visible rubbing and wear to the gilding on the Imari-style jug and the rose-patterned tea wares, consistent with age. Minor surface scratches and signs of use are present throughout the collection. No major chips, cracks, or professional repairs were observed during inspection.
