Lot 30: An Assortment of Decorative Porcelain Wares
An assortment of decorative objects comprising various ceramic pieces and a metal tray. The assembly includes a porcelain figurine group depicting a couple in eighteenth-century attire, with the male figure holding a mandolin, decorated in pastel glazes with raised gilded enamel dots. Also present is a pair of porcelain candlesticks featuring hand-painted pastoral landscapes, including a water mill and cottage, set on scalloped bases with orange-toned borders. A large cream-glazed ceramic pitcher is decorated with a hand-painted Mexican-themed motif featuring a figure in a sombrero, a donkey, and cacti. Further ceramic pieces comprise a small white porcelain globular jar with purple floral sprigs and a cylindrical porcelain vase with a hand-painted landscape and gilt rim.
Condition report:
The condition of the collection is generally fair. A small chip is visible on the rim of the large pitcher. There is minor surface grime and wear to the gilded highlights on the porcelain figurine and vases.
