Lot 2b: A Collection of Royal Worcester Bone China Plates in the Bacchanal Pattern
A collection of Royal Worcester bone china plates decorated in the Bacchanal pattern. The set comprises multiple plates of varying diameters, each featuring a scalloped and fluted rim finished with a hand-applied gilded edge. The decorative border consists of a transfer-printed grapevine motif, depicting clusters of purple grapes amongst leaves in shades of green and autumnal yellow. The underside of each piece bears a black printed factory backstamp featuring the Royal Worcester crowned monogram with the number 51, alongside the pattern name Bacchanal and the text Bone China, Made in England.
Condition report:
The collection appears to be in good overall condition. There are no visible chips, cracks, or evidence of restoration. Minor surface wear is present, including light stacking marks and slight rubbing to the gilded rims consistent with age and use. An orange adhesive price sticker is present on the face of one plate.
