Lot 510: A Collection of UK and International Silver and Base Metal Coins
A collection of UK and international coinage, comprising both base metal and silver issues, contained within a white metal tin. The group includes a quantity of pre-decimal British bronze coinage, specifically pennies and halfpennies from the reigns of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth II. A handwritten manifest accompanying the lot lists the contents as including a silver half crown, nine silver sixpences, six 1967 pennies, a Cyprus 5 mil piece, a 1980 Queen Mother boxed crown, a 1751 crown, a piece noted as a doubloon, several Irish pennies, a silver US dime, and a silver threepence. The lot contains a mixture of bronze, copper-nickel, and silver alloys.
