Lot 470: A Weathered Cast Stone Garden Bird Bath with Baluster Pedestal
A weathered cast stone bird bath or garden ornament featuring a shallow circular bowl with a wide flat rim. The bowl is supported by a traditional baluster-form pedestal which terminates in a solid square plinth base. The item is manufactured from reconstituted stone, exhibiting a textured and porous surface. An orange inventory sticker with the handwritten number 470 is attached to the rim of the bowl. No maker’s marks or stamps are visible on the piece.
Condition report:
The item is in a weathered condition appropriate for outdoor garden furniture. There is visible surface discoloration, lichen growth, and minor pitting across the stone. Small abrasions and surface wear are present, but the structure appears stable and sound.
