Lot 455: A mid-20th-century Tudor Revival style carved oak floor-standing corner cupboard
This floor-standing corner cupboard is of two-part construction and is fashioned in the Tudor Revival style from stained oak. The upper section is designed with an open front featuring an arcaded carved frieze and two fixed interior shelves. The lower base section consists of a cupboard with a single door, which is decorated with a carved fluted or stylised linenfold panel and fitted with a simple wooden knob. The entire piece sits upon a solid plinth base. A small white lot tag numbered 23 23 is present on the upper left-hand side. The design is in the style of 20th-century British reproduction manufacturers such as Wood Bros (Old Charm) or Titchmarsh and Goodwin. No maker marks are visible.
Condition report:
The item shows surface scuffs, scratches, and general wear across the oak surfaces consistent with age and previous domestic use. No structural defects are visible from the images.
