Lot 356: A set of Queen Anne style mahogany-toned twin-pedestal dining table and six chairs
A late 20th-century dining suite in the Queen Anne style, finished in a mahogany-toned wood. The suite includes an oval twin-pedestal dining table and a set of matching chairs. The table features a cross-banded or moulded edge and is supported by two tripod pedestal bases, each with three splayed legs. It is currently disassembled, showing the extension mechanism and factory markings on the underside. The set of six chairs consists of four side chairs and two carvers. Each chair is designed with a shaped fiddle-back splat and cabriole front legs. The seats are upholstered in a striped fabric featuring red, yellow, and cream tones. Handwritten production marks are present on the underside of the table top, including the alphanumeric code 237B and faint characters resembling TRUE 7-27-0.
Condition report:
The suite is in good used condition with minor surface scuffs and wear consistent with age and use. The table is currently disassembled for storage. The main upper surface of the table top is not fully visible for inspection. The upholstery appears intact with no significant staining or tears visible.
