This lot consists of three decorative items of various materials and styles. The first item is a heart-shaped porcelain ring dish with a scalloped rim and a central upright column. It is decorated in the Kutani Crane pattern, featuring a polychrome bird perched on a flowering branch with pink, blue, and red blossoms, finished with a gilded edge. This piece is attributed to Wedgwood based on the distinctive pattern. The second item is a circular porcelain lid, possibly for a trinket jar, featuring the British Royal Coat of Arms in the centre. The transfer-printed design includes the lion and unicorn supporters, the crown, and the mottoes Honi soit qui mal y pense and Dieu et mon droit, surrounded by a gilded rim. The third item is a circular turned wood lid with a recessed underside. It is finished in a slate blue ground and hand-painted with a central folk-art style floral motif in red, green, and yellow, accented with white scrolls and dots.
Condition report:
The porcelain items appear to be in good overall condition with no visible chips or cracks. There is very minor wear to the gilding on both pieces. The wooden lid shows visible surface scuffing and small areas of paint loss around the outer rim and central motif, consistent with age and use.
