Lot 284: A Vintage Hardwood Countertop Display Case in the Style of Fry's Chocolate
A vintage countertop display or stationery case, constructed from dark-stained hardwood, in the style of early 20th-century confectionery shop displays. The unit features a hinged lid with an inset glass panel and two fixed internal dividers forming three longitudinal, slanted compartments. The construction incorporates dovetail joinery at the corners and is secured with two brass-toned hinges. The exterior retains several adhesive labels, including an orange sticker numbered 284 and a white sticker numbered 5.
Condition report:
Fair vintage condition. A visible liquid stain is present on the upper wooden frame of the lid. The piece shows surface wear, minor scuffs, and dust accumulation consistent with age and use. The glass panel remains intact.
