This lot comprises two ceramic items. The first is a table lamp base of spherical form, crafted from glazed ceramic. It features a hand-painted design comprising a large rose amidst green foliage, interspersed with blue ribbon and bow motifs. The neck is finished with a decorative border of geometric and foliate patterns in blue, gold, and white. It is fitted with a metal bayonet-style socket and a wire shade harp, currently containing a frosted bulb. The second item is a decorative vessel or lamp base of unglazed light beige ceramic, featuring an intricate pierced or openwork design throughout the body with scrolling foliate and floral patterns.
Condition report:
Both items appear to be in good physical condition with no visible cracks or major chips to the ceramic bodies. The lamp is a vintage electrical item and will require professional inspection and PAT testing before use; rewiring is recommended. Small auction lot stickers are applied to the surfaces of both pieces.
