Lot 261: A Trio of Classical Style Composite Figurines
A collection of three decorative figurines fashioned from a cream-coloured composite material, resembling bonded marble or resin, in the classical tradition. The group includes a bust of a youth with curly hair wearing a draped toga with a circular fibula, mounted on a black stepped base. Also included is a standing female figure in a semi-draped classical pose leaning against a tree stump, and a standing youth figure, possibly a faun or satyr, holding a pipe to his mouth beside a pedestal supporting a large bearded mask. These figurines are characteristic of late 20th-century reproductions in the style of Italian makers such as A. Santini. Two of the pieces bear orange lot stickers with the number 261, and small white labels with the numbers 4 and 7 are visible on the bases.
Condition report:
The figurines are in good overall condition. There are no obvious chips, cracks, or signs of repair visible. Some light surface soiling and minor handling marks are present.
