Lot 185: A Trio of Military Style Wool Berets including a Luxembourg Army Example
A collection of three military-style wool berets. The primary item is a sky blue wool beret identified as Luxembourg Army (Armée luxembourgeoise) issue. It is constructed from sky blue wool with a black fabric lining and a perimeter drawstring. It features an embroidered cloth patch displaying a gold lion rampant on a shield, vertically divided into a solid red field and a field of horizontal white and light blue stripes, consistent with the heraldry of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. The second item is a dark green wool beret of standard military pattern, currently unbadged. The third item is a black wool beret of standard military pattern, also unbadged. These items are likely of late 20th-century manufacture.
Condition report:
The Luxembourg Army beret is in used condition, showing light surface soiling and rubbing to the wool pile. The green and black berets appear in good used condition. The green beret has two adhesive inventory or price stickers applied to the exterior.
