Lot 168: Two Ceramic Figurines Depicting Beatrix Potter Characters
This lot consists of two glazed ceramic figurines representing characters from the Beatrix Potter series. The first figurine portrays Jemima Puddle-Duck, wearing a blue bonnet with a blue ribbon and a patterned shawl in shades of pink and brown with tassel accents. The second figurine features a mouse character, identified as Mrs Tittlemouse, wearing a straw-coloured hat decorated with blue and yellow floral motifs and holding a bouquet of flowers. Both pieces are finished with a high-gloss glaze over hand-painted details. These figurines are visually consistent with the series produced by Beswick, England, although no factory marks are visible on the bases. Both items have orange adhesive lot stickers with the handwritten number 168.
