Lot 156: Hand-painted wooden rooster wall-mounted advertising key rack, Morgan & Son Farmers
A decorative hand-painted wooden wall-mounted advertising sign and key rack, designed in the style of a traditional folk-art trade sign. The piece features a carved wooden rooster to the left, finished in polychrome shades of orange, red, and dark green. This joins a semi-circular central section depicting a floral and grass motif. The central rectangular panel is finished in black with hand-painted yellow lettering for Morgan & Son FARMERS in script and serif styles. To the right is a shaped black panel decorated with gold-toned scrollwork, fitted with five brass-coloured metal hooks. The item is a modern decorative piece of household furniture.
Condition report:
There is a prominent vertical split in the timber through the centre of the rooster\'s body. The surface shows minor scuffs and light wear to the painted finish. Two small adhesive inventory labels are present on the front surface.
