A circular convex wall mirror in the Regency revival style. The deep-moulded frame is decorated with a continuous arrangement of scrolling acanthus leaves and foliate motifs. The frame is finished in giltwood or composition with an aged patina. The convex mirror plate is held within the frame. Two adhesive labels are attached to the glass surface, including an orange tag numbered 155 and a small white label marked E.
Condition report:
The mirror glass displays prominent foxing and silvering degradation, particularly around the perimeter. The gilt frame shows surface wear, minor losses to the finish, and general signs of age.
