A spiral-bound postcard album containing an assortment of topographical and thematic postcards, dating primarily from the mid-20th century. The collection includes a mixture of monochrome and colour cards. Notable examples include a monochrome lyric card titled THE FARMER’S BOY (3) featuring an interior domestic scene and printed verses, and several colour views of Vatican City, including high-angle perspectives of St. Peter’s Square and the Basilica. The album also contains monochrome landscape views of rocky mountainous terrain and a colour card depicting a street scene with period vehicles. One card reverse is visible from the Valentine’s Series, bearing the text POST CARD and Printed in Dublin. A small label on the right-hand page is inscribed MEXICO 1962-63. The cards are housed in clear plastic sleeves within a modern white ring-bound binder.
Condition report:
The postcards appear to be in generally good condition with expected age-toning and light corner wear to some of the monochrome examples. The plastic sleeves are clear and intact. The album binder shows typical signs of light use and handling consistent with its age.
