This lot comprises an assortment of vintage medieval-themed toy figures and a novelty character toy. The military figures are designed in the style of Britains Deetail, featuring painted plastic characters mounted onto green-painted die-cast metal bases. The collection includes several mounted knights with horses wearing coloured caparisons in yellow, red, and blue. The infantry is represented by foot soldiers in silver-coloured plate armour, variously equipped with lances, shields, and polearms. Accompanying the soldiers is a larger novelty toy depicting a hobo or clown figure seated on a silver-coloured penny-farthing bicycle. The figure is dressed in fabric clothing, including a tan jacket and black trousers, while the bicycle and the figure’s head are constructed from plastic. No manufacturer marks are clearly visible on the upper surfaces or accessible bases of the items.
Condition report:
All items show signs of significant play-wear and age. There is accumulated surface dust throughout the lot. Several of the knight figures have become detached from their metal bases. There is evidence of damage, including broken or missing components, particularly to the delicate lances and handheld weapons. Paint loss and scuffing are present on the plastic and metal surfaces. The fabric elements of the novelty toy show wear and light staining. The mechanical functionality of the penny-farthing toy has not been tested and is unverified.
