Buyer's Premium:

A rounded rectangular  cigarette case featuring engine-turned decoration to the exterior front and back. The decorative pattern consists of alternating vertical bands of smooth silver and textured engine-turning with small geometric motifs. The interior is lined with two panels of faux-tortoiseshell celluloid and is fitted with two articulated metal spring-loaded retaining bars. Stamped hallmarks located on the interior rims include the maker mark W.H.S for W. H. Sparrow, the anchor mark for the Birmingham assay office, and the date letter k for 1934. The interior rim is also stamped with MADE IN ENGLAND and PATENT No 330546.

Condition report:

The case is in good vintage condition. The silver exterior shows light surface scratches, minor indentations, and areas of tarnishing consistent with age and use. Two adhesive paper labels are present on the exterior lid. The interior faux-tortoiseshell lining is intact but displays minor warping and slight lifting at the edges. The hinge remains secure and the push-button clasp is fully functional.
