A commemorative sterling silver Christmas spoon by John Pinches Ltd, dated 1976. The bowl features a relief-moulded design of a jester figure, and the handle is decorated with an embossed holly leaf and berry motif. The reverse of the handle is struck with a full set of London hallmarks including the maker’s mark JP for John Pinches Ltd, the lion passant for sterling silver, the leopard’s head for the London Assay Office, and the date letter B for 1976. A secondary mark consisting of a copyright symbol, JP, and 76 is also present. The neck of the spoon is inscribed with a facsimile signature for the designer, Peter Jackson. The spoon is presented in its original brown cloth-covered box, the interior of which is lined with white satin and green velvet.

Condition report:
The spoon is in good overall condition showing light surface tarnish and minor handling marks consistent with age. The presentation box is in good condition with minor shelf wear to the exterior.
