Lot 826: A Collection of Vintage Costume Jewellery and Accessories including a Ladies Bracelet Watch and Hardstone Necklace
This collection of vintage costume jewellery and decorative accessories consists of various pieces constructed primarily from base metals with faceted paste and hardstone accents. The assortment features an integrated two-tone bracelet watch with a circular gold-tone dial marked Rolex and Quartz. The bracelet consists of five rows of textured silver and gold-tone links. Included is a graduated strand of green hardstone beads, possibly aventurine, with a silver-tone clasp. The lot further contains a gold-tone circular locket with chased foliate scrollwork, a large circular openwork buckle set with clear rhinestones, and a rectangular silver-tone buckle set with large faceted clear stones. Additional items include a ribbon-motif brooch set with clear rhinestones, a bar brooch with purple and clear stones, a silver-tone cluster ring set with small reddish-purple stones, and a dark-patinated triangular brooch. No hallmarks or purity marks are visible on any of the items.
Condition report:
The items show signs of wear and age-related tarnish. Oxidation is visible on the silver-tone buckles and brooches. The watch shows surface scratches to the crystal and case; the movement is untested and functionality is not guaranteed. Some rhinestones show signs of discolouration or foil degradation. The hardstone beads show minor surface abrasions.
