Lot 797: A Set of Silver Plated Table Forks and a Set of Silver Plated Pastry Forks in Presentation Cases
This lot comprises two sets of silver-plated flatware, each housed in a dedicated presentation case. One set consists of table forks featuring handles with pointed terminals and an incised border line. These are presented in a brown textured case with a cream-coloured fabric and brown velvet-lined interior. The second set consists of pastry forks, characterised by a wider notched outer tine. The handles of these forks feature a fluted columnar design with foliate scrollwork motifs at the terminals. These are housed in a light blue textured case with a black velvet-lined interior. No hallmarks or maker’s marks are visible on the pieces.
Condition report:
Both sets of forks exhibit surface tarnish and light scratches consistent with age and use. The presentation cases show external wear, including scuffing to the corners and edges.
