A pair of matching contemporary pine chests of drawers constructed in a traditional country style. Each chest comprises four full-width drawers arranged vertically. The drawer fronts feature raised-panel moulding and are each fitted with two turned wooden knob handles. The primary material is knotty pine with a light golden finish. Both units are supported by plain plinth bases. No maker’s marks or labels are present, though the top drawer of the right-hand chest carries a small white identification sticker reading 7 7. The items are of late 20th-century origin.
Condition report:
Both chests are in used condition with wear consistent with age and domestic utility. Visible scuffs, scratches, and minor areas of finish loss are present, most notably around the plinth bases. A small dark mark is visible on the front of the base of the left-hand chest.
