Lot 698: A Collection of Assorted Decorative Cushions in Needlepoint and Floral Print Styles
A collection of five decorative cushions of varying sizes and designs. The group includes a large rectangular needlepoint cushion in an Aubusson style, featuring central floral motifs and scrolling borders in muted red, green, and brown tones, finished with a gold-tone twisted cord trim. A second large rectangular cushion is constructed from a tan fabric with an all-over small-scale red and gold floral print, featuring a burgundy and gold bi-colour twisted cord edge. The collection also contains an embroidered rectangular cushion on a pale cream base with a pattern of mauve scrolling vines and pink flowers, finished with a pink pom-pom trim. A smaller square cushion displays a needlepoint design of a blue flower and green palm-like foliage on a beige ground, with a blue and white corded border. Completing the set is a square cushion featuring a red Toile de Jouy style floral print on a white polka dot ground, embellished with a large gathered ruffle border in a grey and white floral patterned fabric. No manufacturer labels or maker’s marks are visible.
