Lot 605: A Collection of Assorted Wicker and Willow Baskets
A collection of assorted nested wicker and willow baskets of varying shapes and sizes. the assortment includes a large circular basket featuring substantial, integral twisted rope-style handles, and multiple smaller rectangular and round baskets nested within. The pieces are constructed using different weave styles and finishes, ranging from natural golden-brown willow to weathered, grey-toned finishes. A small orange tag is attached to the rim of the largest basket with handwritten characters that are not clearly legible.
Condition report:
The baskets are in used condition and appear structurally sound. There are natural variations in colour and surface wear throughout the collection consistent with age and previous use.
